Not all of Polar Bear’s adventures take place in the Arctic. Some of our best cruising ground is along the coastline of the UK, giving us a chance to appreciate the ‘land-views’ of familiar places as we sail in our home waters.
We understand that not everybody will have the chance to sail to distant lands, nor would they necessarily want to! However, a day sailing on ‘Polar Bear’ is likely to ignite a spirit of adventure in your friends / clients.
Polar Bear is well equipped to offer a corporate experience for up to 12 of your guests. We can work with your requirements to tailor a day-sail which will be memorable for all the right reasons.
We can work to your budget, organize land transport (Polar Bear Bus) and offer a selection of catering packages for you to choose from.
Polar Bear’s home is Royal Quays Marina, on the River Tyne in Newcastle. From here we are within minutes of the open sea, or we have a historic river to cruise if the weather looks nasty!
We have facilities which you might not expect on a sailing vessel, including digital projectors and live deck cameras allowing you to get the most from the day.

Coastal Experience: A day, morning or afternoon sail along the beautiful Northumberland Coastline (12 guests)
River Cruise: An evening cruise from the Newcastle Quayside up to the Tyne Piers and back (12 guests)
Management Meetings with a difference: A day onboard Polar Bear, your meeting around the table before lunch, then a sail to clear the mind in the afternoon.
